Body Mass Index(BMI) Calculator

The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a calculation used by most health experts to determine if a person is within a healthy weight range. Since a person's BMI is based on height and weight and is closely related to their amount of body fat, BMI gives an accurate measure for most people of whether they're within a healthy weight range or not.

Step1
Multiply your weight, in pounds, by 703.

Step2
Divide the result by your height, in inches.

Step3
Divide the result by your height, in inches, again.

Step4
* Below 18.5 indicates that you are underweight. * Between 18.5 and 24.9 indicates that you have a healthy body weight. * Between 25 and 29.9 indicates that you are overweight. * Between 30 and 39.9 indicates obesity. * A score of 40 or higher indicates morbid obesity.
