FREE AND DISCOUNTED LEGAL CARE

How many people leave the house in the morning thinking they will need to have a personal attorney’s phone number with them? However, imagine you are heading to work, you take a right hand turn onto a new street, and you are side-swiped by another car. Your airbag deploys so you have a difficult time getting out of the car. When you finally emerge, you look for the car that hit your car so you can check on the driver and get the other person’s insurance information. You look around, but there is neither a car nor a person since the driver left the scene of the accident without even stopping. When we return to the HCCUA Member who was the victim of the hit and run driver, their traumatic experience was lessened because they had immediate help through the HCCUA Legal Care benefit. The Member called the access number on their HCCUA card, and spoke with an attorney who advised them regarding what to do for the police reports, filing their insurance accident forms, and how to follow-up on the remaining legal issues. The Member even received help on dealing with the expired inspection sticker. This HCCUA Member was reassured that they had professional legal consultation right at the time and scene of their accident!
